David began teaching California Supplemental Exam Candidates how to successfully prepare for the CSE in September of 2008. Through personal instruction including seminars, webinars, and one on one coaching, David has personally helped over 200 candidates successfully prepare for and pass the CSE. David is looking forward to helping even more candidates prepare for and pass the CSE with his new CSEprep.com, CSE podcast, and  instantly downloadable Study Guide and Audio Companion.

David was born and raised in Hinsdale, New Hampshire. After graduating high school, David attended the Boston Architectural College (BAC) and graduated with a Professional Bachelor Degree in Architecture. After working in Boston for Hohenschau associates for eight years as a project manager, David moved to New  York City where he worked for Adams Soffes Wood. In 2000, he relocated to Los Angeles and began working with Dennis Gibbens Architect, specializing in high end residential design. David formed his own company, David Doucette Design, in 2002 and continued to specialize in high end residential design.

In 2007, David created Reside Architecture, inc. which specializes in designing modern, healthy, high performance, and energy efficient homes and remodels. David hosts a weekly podcast  called The Approachable Architect Podcast which discusses issues relating to architecture, residential design, construction, and green building.

In 2009, David created Reside Real Estate which specializes in helping home buyers locate and purchase the home that fits their individual lifestlye as well as helping sellers analyze the current market conditions and competitively price their home to sell for the most amount of money in the least amount of time. David currently hosts  The Reside Real Estate Podcast which discusses topics relating to residential real estate, including home buyer & seller education, market conditions, and finance topics. David also produces  a daily video blog about real estate called The Reside Daily Bite.

David lives on the Westside of Los Angeles with his wife and two young boys. He enjoys hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, scuba diving, sailing, and playing guitar with his two sons. David recently completed the Los Angeles marathon.
